Walking the Path of the Buddha:
A Guide for Individuals in
Our Day and Time
2008 Teachings
H.E. Mindrolling Jetsün Khandro Rinpoche
Jetsün Khandro Rinpoche returns to KTL this September to offer a series of special teachings, which will build upon her 2006 course, “The Path of the Bodhisattva.” This year, Rinpoche continues her teachings from the Mahayana texts of the Buddha’s “Second Turning of the Wheel of Dharma,” which emphasize emptiness.
The commentaries Khandro Rinpoche will draw upon for this year’s course will include those on both the Heart Sutra (Prajñāpāramitā) and ‘The Perfect Vase,’ a commentary by Chökyi Dragpa on Ngulchu Thogme’s 37 Practices of a Bodhisattva.
This is the center located just below KTL at beginning of Nu‘uanu Pali Drive and Waokanaka St. Look for the large white building at this intersection. The driveway on its left leads to ample parking in the back; a pathway leads to the lecture hall entrance, on the lower level of the building.
Registration begins at 6:00 pm for the weekday evening teachings; 9:00 am for weekend teachings.
A short period of silent meditation will follow registration, just before Rinpoche’s arrival for the teaching.

Kagyu Thegchen Ling is a center of the Kagyu lineage of Tibetan Buddhism, also known as the "practice lineage" for its emphasis on meditation. It was founded in 1974 by the Very Venerable Kalu Rinpoche, Senior Meditation Master of the Kagyupa and Shangpa lineages of Tibetan Buddhism. The Center offers a full program of meditation and instruction directed by the resident teachers, Lama Rinchen and Lama Tempa.
Activities of the Center revolve around daily meditation practices including a Chenrezig prayer service on Sundays, the observance of specific holy days throughout the lunar month and major holy days of the year; classes in Tibetan language, culture and the arts. Extended study and meditation retreats with resident and visiting teachers are an important part of KTL's programs. A regular newsletter publishes teachings and informs members and friends about Center activities.
Kagyu Thegchen Ling is a not-for-profit charitable organization supported by membership and donations. Annual membership is $240.
